More Solicitor Information
Name: Blandy & Blandy Solicitors

Description: Our Family Law Department is respected as one of the leaders in it's field and each of its members belongs to Resolution, (formerly known as the SFLA), which encourages agreement rather than unnecessary confrontation.

The Legal 500 consistently lists the Head of Department, Andrew Don, as one of the leading practitioners in the country, praising his "positive, sensible and settlement orientated approach"; and the department is one of the top listed firms in the South East. The department is also one of only two leading Thames Valley Family Departments listed in Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession.

It is always important to obtain expert legal advice on the separation, divorce or breakdown of longstanding relationships, as people are especially vulnerable and may be worried about their long-term financial security.

Couples in Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire are being offered a new way to divorce.

Local solicitors are pioneering a new approach, Collaborative Law, which helps reduce the emotional cost on couples and their children when families split. Collaborative Law is built upon mutual problem solving. Both parties and their lawyers pledge to work together to negotiate an agreement without going to court. If an agreement cannot be reached, and court is seen as the only solution, the lawyers involved cannot act for either party in the subsequent court case. This means that everyone involved (including the lawyers!) have an incentive to settle the case.
