If you need to consult a family lawyer, then you are almost certainly going through a difficult period in your life. The mechanics of obtaining a divorce are often fairly straightforward, particularly if there is agreement that the marriage is over. The real difficulties tend to be the related practical issues, such as how to separate, where to live, the arrangements for any children, and any money or property matters. Our legal experts are associated with several family societies that are formed to ensure that the best service and advice is given to clients. The most well known family society is Resolution (formerly the SFLA) and the Buckles family department has two accredited specialists and two further members of this group.
