More Solicitor Information
Name: Cook Taylor Woodhouse Solicitors

Description: Unlike many firms, we have a team who specialise in all aspects of family law and undertake no other work. This means that we can offer comprehensive and detailed advice.

The department is headed by a solicitor who has 24 years experience in family law and who is a member of the Advanced Law Society Family Law Panel.

We undertake both privately funded and legal aid work. An initial interview is offered free of charge (for the first 30 minutes) and, where possible, we shall see you within 48 hours of your initial enquiry. In cases of urgency we will do our best to see you on the same day.

We also have a contract with the Legal Services Commission to offer specialist advice in Family Law.

At the outset we shall send you our Terms of Business with a written estimate, as well as our Client Charter. You will be expected to pay an agreed sum on account of costs and during the course of your matter you will be sent regular accounts, with further requests for payment on account. In this way you will receive several small bills during the course of your case, as opposed to one large bill at the end. This means that you are able to closely monitor the level of your costs, and if you require, you can give us a limit of costs that you wish to incur in respect of your matter.

By: Louise Hinchin
We used these solicitors this year for our conveyancing and what a mistake that was. Countless administrative errors, poor communication and general slowness meant it took five months to complete on our house. We had to do so much of it ourselves. Despite writing and e-mailing Mr Woodhouse directly to complain (even using recorded post) he never once bothered replying. A very unsatisfied customer!
