Watkins & Gunn began serving the public as two separate law firms, Watkins & Co., established in 1870, and S.P. Gunn & Gunn established in 1936.

Both firms were well established traditional practices dedicated to providing help and representation in all areas of the law.

In 1985 the two practices amalgamated to form the present day practice of Watkins & Gunn. In 1988, we moved into Glantorfaen House to take up prestigious offices in the centre of Pontypool, from where we have continued to expand to meet the ever-growing needs of our clients.

We believe that the most important aspect of our vocation as solicitors is to provide the public with a comprehensive service that is readily available to everyone. We are committed to provide services under the Legal Services Commission Scheme, and offer free advice for 30 minutes under the Fixed Fee Interview Scheme. We are members of the Union Law Scheme, and offer a first initial interview free under this initiative. Watkins & Gunn is continuing to develop to provide as broad a range of services as possible.
